According to the reports from Bloomberg’s billionaire tracker, Amazon CEO’s net worth has already touched $105.1 billion on this Monday. That figure actually eclipses the record which was previously held by Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates.
On the other hand, Forbes, which is another major tracker of the net worth, have listed Jeff Bezos as the world’s richest person with the net worth of over $104.4 billion. On the other hand, Bill Gates has the only equity of $93.3 billion.
Well, its worth to note that majority of Jeff Bezos’s net worth comes from Amazon stock that he owns. The shares of Amazon have climbed nearly 57% at the end of 2017 which gave the net worth of Jeff Bezos a major boost.
As we already mentioned that Bill Gates still remains at the second position on the list. However, the reports from Bloomberg also says that Bill Gates has given away approximately 700 million Microsoft share, worth 61.8 billion dollars at today’s value. So, with that Bill Gates would still be worth far more than Bezos.
