Once Again, Xiaomi Mi 5 Appears In New Video & Renders

Confirming everything we know about this device already, new leaked renders of Xiaomi Mi 5 have appeared again on the internet. This time, the renders appears in different colors and a few more details are leaked.

Before now, we saw a render that looked a lot like Xiaomi Mi Note. We didn’t believe this but it was said that the leaked render might not be exactly what the final build would look like.

Days later, we saw some leaked photos of the device which confirmed and discarded certain things about the previously leaked renders. The photos were uploaded to a Weibo along with some patent documents which revealed more about the much anticipated device. We even got to see the benchmark score too.

The new renders of Xiaomi Mi 5 floating on the internet today shows the device in different colors and it looked no different from the photos we published days ago.

The curved 2.5D glass is clearly visible and the back is curved as well. The presence of a home button is also confirmed. The leaked renders also appeared in gold, pink and white.

Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to sport a 5.2 inch screen with a FHD (1080×1920) or Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution. A leaked patent document suggests the screen itself is going to act as the fingerprint sensor but we’re not sure yet about this. The battery capacity is likely to be 3600mAh and there’s goign to be two variants: a 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version priced at 1,999 Yuan ($308) and another 4GB RAM/64GB ROM version priced at 2,299 Yuan ($354).

The device should be available in the first quarter of 2016.
