Yahoo Now Lets You Connect Your Gmail Account to Yahoo Mail

A few months ago, I logged in to Yahoo Mail and saw a popup asking me to add my other email accounts. I added my Microsoft Live account and ever since, I find it convenient checking my Microsoft Live mails from Yahoo. I hardly check it and adding it to Yahoo looked like a good idea. Just today, I saw another message asking me to add my Gmail account:

According to Yahoo, the new smart apps will not just retrieve recent mails from your inbox, it will be able to search through everything right from the first email you received.

New features introduced include powerful search, smart contacts, rich compose features and Yahoo Account Key for password-free sign-in. Managing multiple accounts is available for all Yahoo Mail users globally on iOS, Android and of course, the web version.

This move by Yahoo has been seen as a way the company is trying to use to retain whats left of its users. While this sounds like a pretty nice feature, its worth mentioning that Google introduced this feature to their mobile app earlier this year.
