You Really Don’t Want To Play GTA In Virtual Reality

Playing GTA and shooting people on your computer screen or mobile device may be fun but have you ever imagined playing this particular game in a Virtual Reality setup? Holding a gun and walking through the city, stealing cars and actually shooting people?

Modder Joseph Delgado has successfully implemented hand tracking to GTA V and posted a video of what it’s like to play GTA in VR.

Here is exactly what he said on his website:

I’m really not sure about this. I feel horrible about making this. You actually feel guilty. My mouth dropped the first time I shot someone in my GTA: V VR setup.

Well, with the hand tracking, it feels like you’re actually holding the gun and this is probably why he feels guilty killing the innocent residents of Los Santos.

The mod is still in developmental stage and with the way he describes it, it’s surprising people are actually looking forward to experience what it feels like.

The modder implemented the basic hand tracking using Razer Hydra peripheral. While playing GTA, almost everyone has intentionally gone on rampage, killing cops, getting chased and taking down civilians just to cause trouble.

Is there a chance we will be any kinder with these digital victims in Virtual Reality? The most likely answer is NO.
