See The New Techno boom J8

Tecno Boom J8 was officially launched last week in an event at Ikeja. You can read about the launch in this previous article. Tecno Boom J8 is the first Tecno device to come with HiOS, Tecno’s own customized version of Android OS. While Tecno Phantom 5 remains the best device from Tecno Mobile till date, the Boom J8 is the best mid-ranger from the company.

The new HiOS is geared towards productivity and customization. Attention is paid to details, the user interface has some great aesthetics but we will have to reserve the pros and cons till we publish the review. The phone itself is well designed and at first, you might notice it bears some resemblance with Apple iPhone 6. It sure does, but not without Tecno’s touch. It is well crafted outside and of course, the software design too is quite commendable.

We’ve had this device with us for about a couple of weeks now and a review should be published anytime soon. We unboxed the device already and here is the video:

Each Boom J8 purchase comes with a free Boom headphone.

Tecno Boom J8 has the 3.5mm earphone jack at the top.

Tecno Boom J8 has a 13MP camera at the back with LED flash.

The back cover can be removed but not the 3000mAh battery.

The micro-USB port and speaker are at the bottom.

Tecno Boom J8 has a 5MP camera plus LED flash at the front.

The device has the power and volume buttons on the right.
