Recently, the most popularly used instant messaging application for mobile phones/smartphone Whatsapp silently pre-released/added video calling feature to its messaging application, but decided to allow whatsapp beta testers to use it first before lunching the video calling feature to other whatsapp users. Whatsapp application testers tested the video calling feature around last week.

At last the long awaited video calling feature from whatsapp is finally here. The good news is, you and other whatsapp users can now start enjoying/using the new whatsapp video calling feature now, all you need to do is update your whatsapp application to the latest version that is available for your smartphone platform.

The new whatsapp video call feature is currently available for all smartphone platforms that supports whatsapp and has the ability to make video call.

According to whatsapp from its official blog post said:

We’re introducing this feature because we know that sometimes voice and text just aren’t enough. There’s no substitute for watching your grandchild take her first steps, or seeing your daughter’s face while she’s studying abroad.
