Android 8.0 Oreo Users Are Alarmed That Their Alarms Aren’t Going Off Since The Update

As the years passing new features are appearing in our smartphones, the latest trends have to do with virtual reality, double cameras or augmented reality. But, now recently, Android 8.0 Oreo users are alarmed that their alarms aren’t going off since the update.

As the years passing new features are appearing in our smartphones, the latest trends have to do with virtual reality, double cameras or augmented reality. But that does not mean that the most basic functions of our smartphone, such as calls, messages or alarm, are left out. However, now something errors like this happening in some models of Google Pixel with the last update of Android Oreo.

It is not the first error that occurs with this latest version, and probably it will not be the last since it is almost impossible to launch the first version of a perfect new operating system. The competition, the tech giant Apple mainly, is also having to deal these days with some problems in the iPhone derived from iOS 11.

The alarm might be failing on some Google Pixel devices

It should not surprise us that errors occur in the new versions of a system, but they do affect something as essential as the alarm. Although not everyone depends on a smartphone to wake up, millions of users use the alarm in the morning not to fall asleep and thus reach their jobs or educational centers.

The failure, for now, does not seem to be affecting all users and taking into account that the tech giant Google updates the Google clock directly from the Play Store, the failure may come with a simple update. Irrespective of this, the anger of those affected is considerable, since being late for work is not something that one can easily justify.

The solution, in turn, can be as simple as installing another application of the clock, of which there are thousands in the Play Store, or simply using a “physical” alarm clock. The tech giant Google has not yet communicated anything about the issue and we assume that depending on the number of affected users will be obliged to do so or not. The Google clock application has never been the best development of the company, but that does not mean that it is allowed to have such serious failures as this currently occurred.
