WhatsApp’s Latest Feature Lets You Track Your Friends Location In Real-Time
Well, after a few months of testing, WhatsApp is rolling out its local sharing feature globally. This feature lets users share their geographic location with WhatsApp contacts in real time.

This latest feature was previously spotted on a beta version of WhatsApp app and this feature lets users share their geographic location with WhatsApp contacts in real time.
This feature turns out to be very useful because now you can accurately tell where a person should meet you. The live location sharing feature simply gives users the option to share the current location with other users.
The feature runs even when WhatsApp is in the background and it keeps updating the location in real time. Zafir Khan, product manager at WhatsApp told Gadgets 360 “Live location is a way to share your location in a chat and the participants in that chat will then be able to see your real-time location as it updates on a map. [It’s] short-term in nature, it’s limited in duration”
To use this all-new feature make sure to update the app. Then open the chat with a person or group and under “Location” tap on the “Share live location”. This will enable the feature, users can also set a timer for how long they want to share the location.
