The smartphone market will receive this year several devices with technologies similar to Face ID. Even though there is already technology that puts the Touch ID under the screen, the trend seems not to go by that choice, facial recognition using 3D technologies is the future.
While the gestures have been part of Apple’s DNA since the first iPhone. The truth is that they are so important that the company is removing the physical buttons and increase the tasks performed by a compilation of smart gestures and in the iPhone X this path was clear and assumed.
The market reacts and OnePlus even copied the gestures of iPhone X to allow OnePlus 5T users a richer use.
The gestures came in the third beta of Android Oreo for OnePlus 5T, the latest smartphone from OnePlus. If the new option is enabled, the Android navigation bar will disappear and only finger movements on the screen will allow the same result. So you need to slide up the bottom of the screen to go back to the initial screen, like the iPhone X. If you make the same gesture and stop with your finger pressed halfway, the multitasking option will appear, again as it appears in the iPhone X.
For information, Android smartphones have three buttons on the navigation bar: a back button, a home screen button, and a multitasking button.
How to use more gestures?
There is also a new variant, now there is the swipe of the finger on the lower left corner of the screen. The final version of Android Oreo for the OnePlus 5T will arrive in the coming weeks, but OnePlus has not yet provided a specific date.
