OnePlus 5 and 5T Receives Android 8.1 Oreo OTA Update
Around the end of 2017, OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T user across the globe received the official update to Android 8.0 Oreo and Now, OnePlus has started to push their incremental rollout of their Android Oreo 8.1-based OxygenOS 5.1.0 for the OnePlus 5 and 5T.
With this update installed, both these handsets would be upgraded to Oxygen OS 5.1.0. In case you are unaware, Oxygen OS is the name of the UI that OnePlus uses on their handsets. As for the update itself, it has been released as an over the air (OTA) update and is more than 766MB in size.
The update brings the latest Android security patches up to April 1. New optimizations in gaming mode, including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness. Network boost has been added that is prioritized for gaming app in the background. Category tags have been added to search section of the app drawer and auto name folders, based on category.
