How to check if your NIN Successfully Linked with your MTN, Airtel, 9mobile & Glo
Not everyone know that after submitting your NIN to your telecommunication line and you have received a confirmation message that you have successful sent your NIN, another message showing that it was successfully linked with your number will be sent.
To check your Airtel NIN status, dial *121*1#. Then you should receive a message if it has been successfully linked or you have successfully added your 11 digits NIN and they will get back to you after verification from NIMC.
Its not a problem if you have not received the message yet because subscribers can still check whether they have successfully linked or connected their NIN with their phone numbers as the deadline for NIN and SIM Card linking was recently extended.
How to Check if your NIN is Successfully Linked with your MTN Phone Number
MTN asks subscribers to dial *785# and input their
NIN for submission after which it’ll bring up a
“Submitted Successfully” message.
To check if your NIN has successfully linked with your mobile number, just open the MYMTNAPP mobile app to view the status.

If you’ve linked your NIN to your Airtel SIM by
dialling the *121*1# code, then you should have
received a message stating that they’ll get back to
you on the verification status.

9mobile seem quite different as they provided the
option to verify the NIN linked to your SIM card.
Simply dial *200*# You’ll be provided with 3
options which the number 1 is to verify your linked
NIN, Select 1 and wait for a confirmation message.

You can submit your NIN by either dialing *109#
and inputting your NIN in the pop-up box and wait
for a success message.
