Meet Tecno Pova 2, 6.9-inch Display, Helio G85 Chipset, 7000mAh Battery

Tecno mobile has launched Pova 2, successor to the Tecno Pova launched last year, and it comes with impressive specification with a gaming chipset.

The Tecno Pova 2 features a 6.9-inch screen with 1080p+ resolution, 20.5:9 aspect ratio with the touch sampling rate set at 180Hz while the refresh rate is still 60Hz. It is also equipped with two Cortex-A75 cores, a Mali G52 MC2 GPU, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The Pova 2 comes with a slightly more powerful chipset, a Helio G85. This 12nm chip has two Cortex-A75 cores and a Mali G52 MC2 GPU. Compared to the G80 chip in the previous model, this one runs its GPU at a slightly higher clock, though not nearly enough to offset the fact that it has to push twice as many pixels.

The phone comes with Android 11 out of the box (technically with HiOS 7.6).

Tecno is also boasting about the optimizations in the ET Game Engine and Game Space 2.0 that can boost the CPU and GPU as needed. The systems are designed with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang MOBA game in mind.

For the cameras, Tecno Pova 2 comes with an upgraded quad camera setup at the rear, you have a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8 backed by three 2MP supporting cameras with Quad LED flash. The selfie camera packs an 8-megapixel shooter with dual LED flash.

The device is housed by a 7000 mAh battery capacity with support for 18W fast charging, and USB Type-C.
