The research company known as Canalys has just released a report regarding the market share of the smartphone business in Q3 2021 where Samsung managed to become the ‘king’ of smartphones in the third quarter.

From the report, it is stated that Samsung managed to have a market share of 23% which did not decrease or increase compared to the same quarter in 2020.

Meanwhile, there is Apple in the second position which has a market share of 12%, followed by Xiaomi with a market share of 14%, then there is Vivo and also OPPO.

Canalys also said that the shortage of components that occurred in the COVID-19 pandemic caused a decrease in the number of smartphone shipments by 6% compared to the same quarter last year.

However, it is predicted that in the fourth quarter of this year, global smartphone shipments will improve considering the presence of shopping promos such as Single’s Day in China to Black Friday in the US and Europe.
