YouTube reveals its plans for 2022 on its blockchain and metaverse by verifying NFTs and watching games in Metaverse. This will control the emerging technologies to cut fraud in this growing digital art market and offer the viewing experience of gaming content.


Youtube is trying to maintain users with the upcoming features amid increasing the contests with TikTok and Instagram.

On Thursday, the company explained its plan to analyze Web3 technologies like NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that relates to digital assets recorded on the database.

There are many different things like Art, music, GIFs, videos, and even a selfie that can be converted to NFT. According to the company, the combination of blockchain and NFTs would give the opportunity to its followers and designers to make partnerships and earn living.

The officials said,

“Together, they’ll be able to collaborate on new projects and make money in ways not previously possible. For example, giving a verifiable way for fans to own unique videos, photos, art, and even experiences from their favorite creators could be a compelling prospect for creators and their audiences.”

There are new tools for users that will provide more opportunities to earn money on the platform. Fans can own videos as they can now sell the content in the form of NFTs. These new tools will offer fans many ways to own unique media from the creators.

Plans to Watch Games in Metaverse

Youtube will start developing the experience of watching games on metaverse. It will start with gaming than by competitors’ investments in the buzzy category.

The officer of Google-owned company, Neal Mohan, said,

“We’ll work to bring more interactions to games and make them feel more alive. It’s still early days, but we’re excited to see how we can turn these virtual worlds into a reality for viewers.”

It would utilize tech to offer more social viewing experiences for gaming content and also help the artists to connect with their audiences on a deep level. However, now it doesn’t have any firm ideas, but it is possible that we can watch videos together in the metaverse.
