Itel S23+ With 16GB RAM, Curved Display Launched in Africa

itel has announced that it will soon launch the S23+ smartphone in India priced under Rs 9,999, but it has already been launched in Nigeria. MTN, a leading Nigerian telecom operator, will be providing exclusive data bundles for itel S23+ users.

itel has also joined forces with Google to deliver the best of Android, including essential Google apps per-installed on the itel S23+, ensuring seamless connectivity and productivity for users.

The main highlight of the phone is the 6.78-inch 3D FHD+ curved AMOLED display, compared to the 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD of the S23, launched a few months ago.

The phone was officially launched recently and confirmed its specifications including Unisoc T616 4G SoC with 8GB RAM, 8GB additional virtual RAM, 256GB internal storage, itelOS 13 based on Android 13 with voice assistant based on Aivana AI GPT.

Meet Aivana GPT: Your Seamless AI Assistant
Operating on the itel OS13 system, the itel S23+ has Aivana GPT, an AI and voice assistant that offers automated support and helps users perform tasks quickly and easily using voice commands. Aivana GPT’s capabilities cover WhatsApp, music, SMS, map navigation, weather, translation, and many more

The phone has a 50MP primary camera as well as a secondary camera, a 32MP front bezel inside a punch-hole, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

The company also highlighted the Dynamic Bar software feature that allows you to access important notifications like battery status, incoming calls, reminders, and unlock status. We have seen this in some phones like Realme in small capsules.

The itel S23+ comes with an impressive 36-month warranty and 6-month free screen replacement, underscoring itel’s confidence in the product’s durability and branding services.

The Itel S23+ is priced around $120 (roughly Rs. 9,980) for global markets and will be available first in Africa (Jumia, and other retail outlets) with a launch expected in India in the coming weeks.
