Ulefone Power: 6,000mAh Battery + Fingerprint Sensor For $200

A few weeks ago we talked about Oukitel K10000, a very cheap smartphone with 10,000mAh battery capacity being sold for only $240. Battery life remains the number one priority of smartphone users and phone vendors are already working in this direction. Fitting a 10,000mAh battery in a phone is quite remarkable but we’re not here to talk about Oukitel k10000.

Ulephone is releasing another power-centric device called Ulephone Power. The battery capacity isn’t as high as that of Oukitel K10000 but the company says the phone should last for five days with moderate. Considering devices in the market right now, that’s still impressive. Here’s the promotion video:

Unlike Oukitel K10000, the design is quite appealing and the phone comes in three colors: silver white, dark blue and wooden.

Ulephone Power has a 2.5D curved screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The 5.5″ screen has a 1080p full HD resolution. The device has a metal frame and it comes with a fingerprint sensor right at the back just below the camera. The company claims the unlock time is between 0.1-0.3 second which is quite commendable it it’s really so.

Ulephone Power derives its name from the powerful battery which has a capacity of 6050mAh. Despite this, it still manages to have a thickness of only 9.5mm. However, it’s a bit heavy at 190g.

It’s powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor, a MTK6753 chipset clocked at 1.5Ghz. There’s a sufficient 3GB RAM and theoretically, the specs suggests this phone should be a pretty fast device. There’s a 16GB internal memory but it’s expandable to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

Ulephone Power has a 13MP Sony IMX214 rear camera with a wide aperture (f/1.8). There’s a dual flash to enhance low-light photography. There’s also a 5.0MP OmniVision OV5648 camera at the front. It comes with Android Lollipop but Ulefone promised there’s going to be an Android Marshmallow update by February.

It’s a dual-SIM 4G phone with infra-red, OTG support and the quick charge feature lets you charge the phone fully under 2 hours. At the moment, this device goes for only $209 and should start shipping by the 10th of January accordint to Ulephone. You can find on Gearbest.
