first is motion-tracking – using the phone camera to track the visuals of the environment, the accelerometer and the gyroscope in order to track where you are in a room.
Second is area learning, where Project Tango will take information it has had in the past and enhance it with other elements such as notes or points of interest in a location.
Third is depth perception to track how far away surfaces are.

For example, you can use Tango’s ability to check out how furniture would look in your actual home before buying it. Or you could get an estimate of your home’s square footage without actually measuring it.
You could also engage in virtual games where the castle walls are actually located where your home wall is, so walking around virtual objects means you are walking around real-life objects.
