Facebook About To Launch Express Wifi Hotspot in Lagos

Facebook is deploying Express Wifi in Lagos in collaboration with Coollink, a Nigerian ISP and System Integrator based in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano. The service will be launch this week but already in operational in some part of Lagos like Ikota Shopping Complex.


Things You Should Know About Facebook Express WiFi:

  • Express Wifi by Facebook is a new program that lets phone owners purchase data from local internet service providers. 
  • With Express Wifi coverage, you will be able to browse the sites on Free basics, but if you want to go the extra mile, you will be charged N40 for 100MB daily upto N1,600 for a 5GB monthly plan. 
  • Also have 14 days free trial with free 100MB per day

Facebook Express Wifi Data Plans:

  • N40 will give you 100MB for 24hrs
  • N110 will give you 300MB for 24hrs
  • N270 will give you 750MB for 7 days
  • N700 will give you 2GB for 7 days
  • N1000 will give you 3GB for 30 days
  • N1600 will give you 5GB for 30 days
From the table above, you can see that it offers one of the cheapest data plans so far, Unfortunately, this services will only be available in Lagos. Once Lagos phase is completed, they’ll move to other states too.
