How To Shut Down Your Windows Computer (PC) Without Allowing it To Configure or Install Windows Update

Sometimes we want to shut down our windows computer system as fast as possible, after a long day surfing the net or after work closes only to find out windows is installing or configuring update and ask you not to shut down, after waiting for few minutes its still updating.

I will show you a quick and easy method on how to shut down your windows computer system without allowing it to configure or install windows update at that moment when you need the computer system to shut down as fast as possible. You can also install the windows update when you have the time to do so. I will be showing you two methods on how to shut down your windows computer system without allowing your computer to configure or install windows update.

First Method: 

• Goto your desktop by clicking any empty area of the desktop or pressing Windows+D on your keyboard. 
• Then, press Alt+F4 to access the Shut Down Windows dialog box.
• select “Shut down” from the drop-down list.
• Then, click “OK” to shut down your PC immediately.

Second Method:

• You can also shut down your PC without installing windows update from the login screen. 
• Press Windows+L to lock the screen, or log out. 
• Then, in the lower-right corner of the login screen, 
• click the power button and select “Shut down” from the popup menu. 

• The PC will shut down without installing updates.

So when you have the time to install and configure the update just repeat the steps and choose between "update and shut down" or "update and restart".
