How To Stop Whatsapp From Sharing Your Phone Contact To Facebook | Whatsapp New Terms and Conditions

We all know, both whatsapp and facebook are being run by one person (Mark Zuckerberg) and company. In recent times, this company has changed the face of social media by adding new features both the once that are generally accepted and not.

This time, whatsapp has introduced a new terms and conditions that are being sent to all of it users, most people do not understand what this terms and conditions are all about.


If you eventually agree to this terms and conditions, whatsapp will have the right to upload all your contact and i mean all your contact to facebook, and this numbers will be used to send targeted ads to there users. If this new terms and conditions are okay with you, you can go ahead and agree, both if you do not agree to it, follow the steps below to op out from it even if you have agreed already.

How To Opt Out OF Whatsapp New Terms and Conditions:

  • Launch your updated WhatsApp application, you will see a page that asks you to tap agree on new terms and privacy policy on the screen
  • Tap Read
  • Uncheck Share my WhatsApp account information with Facebook.

However, if you have already agreed to this terms and conditions already and wish to opt out:

For iOS users:

  • Open your WhatsApp 
  • Go to Settings > Account.
  • Uncheck Share my account info.

For Android users:

  • Open your WhatsApp 
  • Tap the three dots icon on the top-right.
  • Tap Settings > Account.
  • Uncheck Share my account info.

NOTE:
After 30 days, you might not be able to opt out again, although Opting out is just a consolation. if you read their privacy policy, you will see that it still shares your data and whatsapp it’s not all that private again. So checking that option might not still guarantee 100% safety but your chats and messages are still encrypted.
