Microsoft Is Developing A New “Programming Language” For Quantum Computers

Microsoft at its Ignite conference shared its plan to develop a language for the programming of quantum bits. The name of the programming language is still the mystery. However, it will be offered via Microsoft’s Visual Studio toolkit.

The tech giant Microsoft at its Ignite conference talked about three significant technologies that will change the entire tech industry. Well, without any doubt that three technologies are Mixed Reality, Quantum Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.

Well, if we talk about Quantum computers, we are yet to come across the first real quantum computer. Several tech giants are making big efforts to make the first real quantum computer. Microsoft at its Ignite conference shared its plan to develop a language for the programming of quantum bits.

The name of the programming language is still the mystery. However, it will be offered via Microsoft’s Visual Studio toolkit. Developers need to have knowledge of quantum logic gates and their operations to work on this language.

However, if you are a developer then you will be able to borrow elements from C#, Python, F# for writing functions because the new programming language for quantum computers posses a similarity to the existing programming language.

Microsoft will be launching two versions of a quantum simulator in order to help developers to write code using these languages and run them. The one will be powered by Microsoft’s Azure cloud and the other one will run locally.

Right now, Microsoft is inviting developers to sign up for the preview of programming language and quantum simulator. The previews will be released later this year.
