First Device to Use Huawei HarmonyOS is Honor Vision Smart TV
We all that recently Huawei officially introduced HarmonyOS at the 2019 Huawei Developer Conference (HDF) event which was held last Friday (9/8/2019). Initially, this operating system was prepared as a replacement for Android on Huawei smartphones. I know must of us must have being this new Huawei HarmonyOS to be launched first in a smartphone.
However, it turns out HarmonyOS is not only made for smartphones. Because the first device that uses the brand-new operating system is not a smartphone, but a smart TV.
Citing XDA Developer, Honor Vision smart TV is the first device to use this operating system. Honor Vision uses HarmonyOS which has been adjusted to the screen size of a television.
Honor Vision Smart TV Features
Smart TV made by Huawei has a screen size of 55 inches with 4K resolution. Honor Vision has a screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent so that the screen looks broad with a thin bezel size.
The screen also supports 87 percent NTSC wide colour gamut and the brightness reaches 400 nits. The device has also been certified by TUV Rheinland as a television with low blue light.
As a smart TV, Honor Vision is equipped with the Hongjun 818 chipset, which is the result of the collaboration between Huawei and Baidu. This chipset is made with 28nm fabrication and has eight cores.
With this chipset, Honor Vision can play 4K quality video at 60 fps. This chipset also supports image processing up to 64 megapixels, noise reduction, and a number of other features.
The HarmonyOS operating system on Honor Vision also has a series of features that can connect this smart TV with other devices that also use the same operating system.
Price
Honor Vision is priced at 3,799 yuan (approx. N196,000 Naira in Nigeria) for models with 16GB of storage, and 4,799 yuan (approx. N247,000 naira in Nigeria) for the 32GB storage version. Both are equipped with 2GB of RAM.
