Xiaomi Redmi 10x The Cheapest Affordable 5G Phones Ever

Xiaomi has finally launched Redmi 10x after series of rumors about the spec of the smartphone. Two phones were launched which is the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro.

The new 10X 5G and 10X Pro bring dual mode and dual SIM 5G connectivity, AMOLED displays, and highly competitive pricetags.


The Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro are both powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset, bringing upper mid-range power and 5G connectivity to the table. 6/8GB RAM on the 10X 5G and 8GB RAM on the Pro. Storage ranges from 64GB to 256GB. The software front is covered by MIUI 12 on top of Android 10.

Xiaomi’s new phones also sport a 6.57-inch 2,400 x 1,080 OLED screen (HDR 10+, 20:9 screen ratio) with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Don’t expect a high refresh rate though, although it’s packing a 180Hz touch response rate.
Cameras

The 10X 5G has a 16MP selfie shooter while the Pro ups it to 20MP. The panel on both also comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.



Around the back both phones come with a 48MP main shooter and 8MP ultawide snapper but the Pro adds an 8MP telephoto module with 3x optical zoom and OIS as well as a 5MP macro cam.

Battery

The Redmi 10X Pro packs a 4,520mAh battery with 33W charging. The latter solution means you’ll get 58% juice in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the standard Redmi 10X offers a 4,520mAh battery that tops out at 22.5W charging.

Other Features

Other notable Redmi 10X series features include MIUI 12, IP53 splash resistance (it’s unclear if this applies to both models), USB-C, an IR blaster, and 3.5mm port. The Redmi 10X Pro also sports NFC, which the standard 10X lacks.

Xiaomi claims the chip has an Antutu score of 415,672 points, not far behind the Snapdragon 855‘s 445,343 points, according to the firm.

Pricing

The Redmi 10X series will be offered in blue, pink, gold and white colors. The 10X 5G starts at ($224) 6/64GB making it the most affordable 5G phone on the market. There’s also a 6/128GB for $252 as well as a 8/128GB trim for $294 and 8/256GB model for $336.

Official sales begin on June 1.

The 10X Pro will be offered in 8/128GB for $322 and 8/256GB configuration going for $364. It will go on sale starting June 6.

Xiaomi also revealed the Redmi 10X 4G. The new device seems to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9, sharing the same Helio G85 chipset and 5,020mAh battery.

The Redmi 10X 4G already up for sale starting at just $140 for 4GB /128GB variant, there’s also a 6/128GB model for $168.
