2020 MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition For Young Students

The 2020 edition of the Spelling Bee Competition sponsored by Nigeria’s leading ICT company – MTN, is about to begin and the telecom invites all primary & secondary school students between the ages of 9 and 15 to participate in the competition.

According to MTN, the competition aims to help students in Nigeria to improve their English spelling and vocabulary.

In addition, MTN Nigeria promises that it will an exciting one with lots of exciting prizes to be won.

How It Work

There are 3 stages of the competition, which are conducted via the mPulse website and video conferencing.

The first stage – it will be done on the mPulse website and is open to all students residing in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years.

In the second stage – the top 1,000 from the first round will be invited for the second round of the competition, which will also be done on the mPulse website.

The third stage and grand finale – it will be done online via live video conferencing.

Period

The mPulse Spelling Bee portal opens for practice tests at 8 am on 2nd October 2020.

Round 1 Competition runs from 8 am on 19th October 2020 to 11:59 pm on 11th November 2020.

How to Participate in the mPulse Spelling Bee Competition

1. Before you can participate, you must have a student account on mPulse.
2. To register, visit the mPulse Spelling Bee website – https://mpulse.mtnonline.com/home/spellingbee
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and tap the “Play” button.
4. You will be prompted to log in to your student account. If you already have one, login, and follow instructions.
5. If you don’t have a student account, tap “Don’t have an account? Create one” below the prompt. Thereafter, follow the instructions.

Rules of the mPulse Spelling Bee Competition

1. The competition is open to only boys and girls in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years old.
2. Participants must be resident in Nigeria.
3. Participant’s phone number used for registration must be on mPulse tariff plan. Dial *344*1# to migrate your phone number to the mPulse tariff plan.
4. Participants must have successfully updated their profile on the mPulse website.
5. Participants must have successfully linked with their parent(s) on the mPulse website.
6. Practice test can be done multiple times, but each Quiz round can be taken ONLY ONCE.
