MTN Nigeria recently Launched a new service called WhoDeyCall, more like a feature you’ll typically find on TrueCaller.
MTN WhoDeyCall is a new service that shows who is calling you. It reveals the caller’s name as a pop-up message before you pick the call.
Just like I said, the service looks similar to TrueCaller which is internet-based; but WhoDeyCall gives subscribers an edge to MTN customers as callers can be identified without the use of the internet. Meaning without the internet, the name of the caller will still pop up even though you don’t have the said number stored on your phone.
MTN said “Although the service is similar to Truecaller which is internet-based; WhoDeyCall? Service gives an edge to MTN customers as callers can be identified without the use of the internet and it works on all device types.”
Note: Please note that the N0 free trial is one-off. Hence, users that have already enjoy N0 free trial will be charged N30 per week on sending Free to 5058 again.
Finally, as an active WhoDeyCall subscriber, you can update/modify your name at no extra cost by texting <NAME> <Space> <Preferred Name> to 5058.
