The Return of Motorola Razr 2019 With a Retro Design and Folding Screen
One of the most loved phones of the previous decade has been revived in 2019. The iconic Motorola Razr makes a come-back in a futuristic form. Motorola presented the folding phone with a flexible display at an event in Los Angeles, United States.
Not that this is a total surprise, Motorola had already confirmed earlier this year that they were working on a folding smartphone, but nevertheless, it is a revival of a classic that everyone is looking forward to.

It seems so much that the device will evoke nostalgic feelings and memories with many with a bendable 6.2-inch display, the Razr has an elongated display that bends in the middle when the phone is closed.
The primary Cinema-vision screen has a 21: 9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2142 x 876 pixels. On the outside, there is a second screen called Quick View. This second screen can be used when the smartphone is closed and has a size of 2.7-inch with 600 x 800-pixel resolution and 4: 3 aspect ratio.
The advantage of such a design, in contrast to the Mate X from Huawei, is that the display is completely hidden in the closed position. This should provide the screen with some protection against scratches, cracks and other damage. Since it is a flexible screen, it is not as strong as Gorilla Glass 6. Moreover, judging by the images, it seems that the closed Razr closes fairly well, reducing the penetration of dust and other materials.
If we look at the specifications, the chipset stands out first. Motorola has not opted for a high-end processor, but for the octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC from Qualcomm. This is assisted by 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space. They are not the very best specifications, so it is clear that Motorola has tried to keep costs down.
Thanks to the “moderate” specifications for an innovative and fordable smartphone, especially in comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Motorola is able to launch the Razr with an interesting price. Check out the price below.
The Motorola Razr 2019 is in the United States from January 9 exclusively for sale at provider Verizon Wireless. Customers of the provider can order the Razr from December 26. Not sure if it’s going to be available here in Nigeria.
